American Art Nouveau gold citrine and pearl brooch

A beautiful quality American Art Nouveau gold, citrine and Mississippi pearl brooch. Invoking autumnal vibes with rich warm hues, the textured reed or grass stems, with pearl and gold flower-heads, all wrapped around the central honey-coloured citrine.

The reverse is as beautifully finished with four feathered scrolls securing the citrine mount.

Although unmarked this bears similarities to American designers including Marcus & Co., Tiffany & Co. and F. Walter Lawrence who had a preference for semi-precious coloured stones, baroque pearls from the Mississippi and heavily featured nature as a design source.

Citrine estimated weight 14.20cts. This citrine is a gorgeous bright medium yellowy orange hue.
